SAR #16189

Oddly, some people do not think getting rich is life's ultimate purpose.
The Ways We Aren't: In 2014, 47,000 Americans died from drug overdoses, about 65% of them opioids. By comparison, only 34,000 died in car crashes and about the same number were killed by guns. The government (Obama and the Congressional leadership) want to fight this “opioid epidemic,” but the government (Republicans in the House) will not fund such an effort because of idiotology – The Debt, Abortion, Big Government and so on.
Clip & Save: Bernie Sanders says “See you in Philadelphia!”
Truck'n: Orders for heavy-duty trucks are at a six-year low. The cost of shipping a container across the Pacific is less than 30% of the price six years ago. “Sluggish economic growth” seems to get the blame.
Score: At half-time 2016, US police have shot and killed 558 people, some of them white.
Flyswatters: ISIS continues to exist only because the US and its allies, including Saudi Arabia, Turkey, and, very quietly, Israel are too busy trying to topple Bashar al-Assad while containing Erdogan's drive for Lebensraum to actually confront and eliminate the 25,000 or so ISIS fighters.
Asked &Obvious: Will Tony Blair face trial for war crimes? No, but he should. So should Bush.
Brexit to the Future: The only things that will last longer than the divorce proceedings between the EU and the UK will be the Congressional investigation and impeachment of President Clinton and the US war in Afghanistan.

Um, er, Ah...gellato? Unidentified photographed objects aside, fine point you make in today's headline.

The majority of the population believes heaping it as high as they can is the ONLY purpose of life! The exist to accumulate wealth by any means possible (even if they have no clue what to do with it afterwards!)

Monsters are everywhere and Money is why!

Worse, many of these same people don't realize money is a 'legal construct' intended to 'simplify barter'.

For some bizarre reason it never occurs to these monsters that all their money won't another minute buy...
